Objective
This petition aims to reform the functioning of citizen petitions in France in order to guarantee that beyond a significant threshold (500,000 signatures), a proposal is automatically subject to: of a debate in the National Assembly followed by a public vote of elected representatives The objective is simple: to restore real weight to citizen mobilization in the democratic process.
The more people who sign up and sign, the greater our chances of success.
Over 700,000 citizens have signed a petition.
700,000 people who took the time to inform themselves, to express themselves, to participate.
And yet, this mobilization has not led to any mandatory debate.
It doesn’t matter here whether you support or oppose the Yadan law.
The real issue goes far beyond this text.
The problem is simple: today, even a petition with over 500,000 signatures does not guarantee any debate or vote. In other words, hundreds of thousands of citizens can express themselves… without any institutional response being required.
Is that really what a modern democracy is?
We are calling for a clear, fair, and transparent rule:
➡️ From 500,000 signatures, a petition must be automatically debated and submitted to a public vote.
This reform does not favor one side or another.
It simply reinforces a fundamental principle:
👉 When citizens speak out in large numbers, institutions must respond.
